Boo to the snow!

Here is my view today. I'm so sick of the snow! Last week we had temps in the mid sixties and got some yardwork done. Today we are cranking up the heat and hunkering down once again. Come on Mother Nature, warm us up - I know you can do it!

Finally!

For those of you with pets, I found a cool little item at Target today. It is the Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair. It has little brushes underneath a containter and the brushes have bristles that are lying in opposite directions. Somehow, when you rub it back and forth on fabric, it picks up the hairs and deposits them into the container which is clear so that you can see how much hair is in there. I've tried other methods of removing hair - I do not want to have one of those houses where you don't want to sit down on the furniture because there is pet hair on it. Anyway, this really did work on the couch upholstery.

Shawn, Liz, Kyle and Morgan came for the weekend. Saturday night we went to a local museum for a "Night at the Museum" activity. They had a giant foam dinosaur controlled by men with ropes on the second floor. They had that dinosaur trying to chomp on people all night long.
It was actually a pretty cool thing. I wasn't sure how it would be at first, it looked a little cheesy, but it ended up being quite informative and interesting. I learned quite a bit about civil war medicine and how pills were made.
The kids had fun running all over the place. There was a Dum-Dum head giving out suckers, a treasure box with toys, Santa (?) walking around giving out candy - don't know why he was there, maybe he just wanted to see the dinosaur. There were some cool birds too.
We had a nice time together and I would do the museum thing again if given the chance.
